Ardrahan (translated as high ringfort) is a village in South County Galway.

Ardrahan is famous for its ringforts.

Richard de Brugo conquered Galway in 1236, and granted the land to Maurice Fitzgerald who built the castle whose ruins still stand today.

Tullira Castle Ardrahan County Galway

    

The most fabulous attraction in Ardrahan is Tullira Castle. It was once owned by Edward Martyn, who was a friend of W.B. Yeats and Lady Gregory.
